I wrote these short stories because Neil Gaiman gave a lecture to a crowd of graduating students telling them how he learned to write. Incrementally, by trial and error, and by putting himself out there even if things weren’t perfect. And since he’s a pretty good writer, I thought I’d try doing that.
I used to read a lot of books and write a lot of stories as a kid, with this anthology I thought I would do a tribute to some of my favourite writers and influences in fiction. Each story in Echoes is inspired by a personal experience, filtered through the lens of fiction so I can share it safely and creatively.
I hope you enjoy this collection, it is truly a work from the heart.
